Letters from "You"

After reading your Sunbonnet Sue article in the Jan/Feb (2006) issue of "The Appliqué Society" (newsletter) I decided to make one for our daughter.

Sunbonnet sue, 4th of July quilt

I chose the patriotic "Sunburst Sue" because our daughter was born on the 4th of July, thirty seven years ago. I thought it would be a nice birthday present for her. On the back I included a personal note (see picture #2) for her and sent it to her where she worked. She was so excited with it that she hung it over her desk and all her co-workers marveled at the beauty of the block.

Thank you for your inspiration. Joyce E. Hesketh, Homosassa, FL

Plant at least one a day.

Thank you for the note and the lovely images, Joyce. We can tell that a lot of love went into this little quilt!

Best wishes,

Pat and Jim
