Another terrific product that we have just discovered is the Light Tracer
II. This is an innovative light box manufactured by Artograph company. The
product is available to buy nationwide from retailers and many online sites
also carry their whole line of related art products.
The styling of the Light Tracer II is great. The acrylic work surface of this Designer’s Light Box is very adequate at 12” x 18”. It is conveniently slanted for ease of hand motion and is suitable for use by those who want to trace quilt patterns or photos, as well as for those who are making Memory books or doing stenciling or sewing. You will probably find more uses than that!
This Light box comes with a snap-in florescent light that is easily replaced at your local hardware store. The box would be particularly useful in tracing designs for embroidery onto cloth, from my new book, Redwork Renaissance: 49 Designs from an 1893 Coverlet. The lightweight nature of this product is a boon for teachers who wish to carry it to quilting classes outside the home.
