I am a quilter, patching pieces in the sun
I am a quilter and my work is never done

I'm free from the cold, as my quilts keep me warm
Free from ennui, as my patches comfort me.
I'm free to make quilts, yellow, blue or green,
black, purple, orange, or any color it seems.
As you can see, I just cannot write a song.
I've been trying to get inspired, all day long.

P.S. Of course, any "patching of pieces" would not be done today outside. There is still a pile of snow on the ground and it's pretty chilly. One can only dream that Spring is going to arrive someday soon.
