         Victorian greenwork antique coverlet

Each of the ten flower designs are nicely embroidered on this antique Greenwork coverlet. I was delighted to find an example of Greenwork to collect!

Flower designs include the following: Calla Lily, Daffodil, Fuchsia, Morning Glories, Pansies, Rose and Rose Buds, Rugosa Rose, Tulips (as shown below), Violets, and a Wood Lily. In the coverlet, each flower is repeated numerous times, and they also go in whatever direction the whim of the moment dictated.....so Victorian!
