Patricia and James Cummings, Concord, NH
an amusing, very short story
by Patricia Cummings
Well, you've all heard about those notorious "centerfolds," over the years, in a certain unmentionable magazine. Why, even a president's daughter posed for one of those issues.
Not one to be left behind the door, I gleefully admit to formerly having been a part of a centerfold "exploitation." When the magazine arrived on my doorstep, I called a friend of mine and breathlessly explained that I'd been involved with the creation of a centerfold.
Laughing, she replied, "Patricia! What have you gotten yourself into now?" Okay, I'll come clean. It was my miniature crazy quilt that was featured, not me!!! The time? 1997. The place? Issue 27 of the now out-of-print, Miniature Quilts magazine. If you missed it, here is an image:
"Still Crazy After All These Years," a miniature crazy quilt, 18 1/2" square,
designed by Patricia Cummings.
