The Postmistress – A Novel

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

The Postmistress, a new novel by Sarah Blake, appears to be an intriguing story, set in World War II, before America’s involvement in that war. Please view the video statement made by the author as to the backstage in which she conceived the characters of the book. At the time, she was living on Cape Cod, in a small town. Anyone who has ever lived in a small town knows the knowledge and power possessed by any postmistress there, based on the mail she handles (or mis-handles?). The plot thickens. This looks like a really good, historically-based “read,” and that is why I bring it to your attention.

Happy Reading!
