While you will find examples of my quilts and quilt blocks scattered throughout our main website and on this blog, in January 2011 I posed dozens of photos of my work to my Facebook page for business. None of them are for sale. My goal was to share an overview of my work and to dissuade anyone in their belief that I’m not a “real” quilter, just a quilt historian. You will see that I work in many color palettes with many different techniques from hand-piecing to machine piecing, hand quilting to machine quilting, crazy quilting, appliqué, shadow work, trapunto, landscapes, miniatures > king size bed quilts, embroidery, and much more. I’ve learned my lessons and am not called a “certified master craftsman in quilting” for no reason. I’ve earned the title.

Many of the quilts shown there were made just for fun and were designed by others. Additional quilts were designed by me. I always give credit where credit is due and have mentioned the designer’s name, or other pertinent information, as far as I can recall it. I will always be willing to add more information to anything I have posted. Just write to me at:

As a business, I sell the books I have written that are now offered as e-books. My husband photographer, Jim, takes all the photos associated with our books and his work has been published by others. There is a link on the Index page of our main website: Quilter’s Muse Publications, to a page that lists all the articles we have created for publication in magazines.

Our website is busy and interactive. Just this week, we heard from a Hungarian-American who is now living in Greece; someone who sought more information about a cookie recipe that Jim posted, and we heard from a Scottish publisher who shared alternate words to the song “Wild Mountain Thyme” as written by a Scottish hymn writer. We receive inquiries of all kinds, and spend a good part of each day answering the questions of people who write. Some have questions about “grandma’s quilt”; others want to know where to locate a product or service; really, all of the questions are extremely interesting!

We are blessed that you are reading this note. Rest assured that I am a quilter! If you are interested in seeing a group of quilt photos I’ve posted to my Facebook page, visit our homepage and scroll down to the link at the bottom.
