On Saturday, I received my subscription copy of “Unravel the Gavel” newspaper, a publication for those interested in antiques. A lengthy letter that I wrote is published in that edition. I discuss the reasons why I do not believe that storefront antiques sellers are in direct competition with eBay, or eBay with them. I also make suggestions as to how store owners can improve their walk-in business and improve sales. If you live in the parts of New England where this newspaper is available to pick up, free of charge, look for it at any participating antiques store or state of New Hampshire rest stops along the interstate.
